The heart of the internet

If you see messages piling up in your Outlook outbox or people you're sending messages to aren't receiving them, try the following methods to fix the issue. Clear the cache or recreate the Outlook profile if performance is degraded or errors persist. If Outlook is NOT able to start in safe mode, then try the homepage next proposed solution below, entitled Create a new Outlook profile. Use the classic Outlook startup troubleshooter to diagnose and fix several common classic Outlook for Windows issues for you.

There are quite a few different causes for this, but one of the most common is a defective add-in. Here’s how to disable add-ins in Outlook even when it keeps crashing. You have successfully created a Distribution Group. The maximum number of distribution group members is 100,000 members, and the recipient rate limit is 10,000 recipients per day. Step 1 - The hard limit of recipients for a single email message is 300. Reduce the number of recipients for a single email to less than 300.

Installing any important, recommended, and optional updates can often correct problems by replacing out-of-date files and fixing vulnerabilities. To install the latest Windows and Office updates, click the link below. If you can open the original Outlook Data File, you might be able to recover additional items. The Inbox Repair tool creates a backup file with the same name as the original, but with a .bak extension, and saves it in the same folder. There may be items in the backup file that you might be able to recover that the Inbox Repair tool couldn't. The next solution to repair Outlook is to reinstall the problematic Outlook version/application.

It is the best PST repair software to repair and restore data from corrupt PST or password-protected files. You can save recovered PST data to DBX, MBOX, MSG, EML, TXT, RTF, HTML, and MHTML formats. It allows users to restore even large-sized PST files that are often not compatible with other tools.

For more information, go to Add or remove an email alias in Outlook.com. If you are having problems with Outlook, there are a few things we can help with to get you back to sending and receiving your email. Some email providers (such as your ISP or even Gmail) won't let you send messages larger than a certain size. Adding pictures and large attachments to your message can prevent you from sending that message (and any messages sent after the large message).

In addition to smart repair and homepage recovery, the tool allows users to save mailbox items to various destinations like Exchange, Office 365, Gmail, etc. If none of the above methods fixes the ‘Outlook not responding’ problem, then there are chances that the Outlook PST in your Outlook profile is corrupt. In such scenarios, you need to repair the corrupt PST files. Check if the Outlook Will Not Open in Windows 10 error is now gone, by launching Outlook 2016. After you delete the Outlook App Data folder, we suggest you restart your system first and then, open Outlook. When the resetnavpane command is executed, what it does is it resets and removes all the customizations related to the navigation pane.

In that case, using a professional tool comes to your rescue. Restart the Outlook application and check if the homepage issue persists. After performing the steps, check if the error persists. Further, start the application again to check if the error has been fixed. It’s also crucial to ensure that the version of Outlook you’re using is compatible with your Windows operating system version.

It can automatically diagnose issues, troubleshoot, and fix problems with Outlook. A more general version that can also fix Office, Microsoft 365, homepage and other Outlook problems can be found here. When you try to accept a shared Outlook.com calendar using your Microsoft 365 for business account in Outlook 2016, you might receive the "Something went wrong" error or your sign-in might fail. If you typically use an Outlook.com account for email, this issue can occur if there are multiple aliases on the account and the 3rd party email address is the primary alias.

If you can't choose any of the menu options, type inside an email message, calendar event, or contact, Outlook may have frozen. There are three steps you can take to try to get Outlook working again. If you lose your connection to the internet, classic Outlook won't be able to send your messages. To fix this problem, on the ribbon, select the Send/Receive tab, then, in the Preferences group, select Work Offline to toggle between offline mode and online mode. You may need to open the message and send it again or choose Send/Receive. On the Outlook status bar, if you see Disconnected, Working Offline, or Trying to connect…, then Outlook can't reach the email server to send your mail.

If Outlook Desktop fails to connect, try these steps before escalating the issue to the ET&S Help Desk. If you have Outlook in your startup folder, remove the shortcut from the startup folder. Restart Outlook and try to reproduce the problem. Find solutions to common problems or get help from a support agent. To update your password in Outlook, see Change or update your email password. If you're having problems setting up your email in classic Outlook, we want to help.
